ERG seeking entry-level to experienced geo probe operator to work in the Remediation and Consulting Department of ERG.  Will accept entry-level and will train.  Preferred candidate with experience in all aspects of operating a track-mounted remote control Geoprobe 7822DT rig.  Must be mechanically inclined, multi-task, attention to detail and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must have current CDL-A drivers license, be able to travel throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana and be able to stay out of town for extended periods of time.  Pay based on experience.

A pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, MVR, criminal background check, and physical exam are required.

CDL Drivers Wanted~ ERG Environmental Services~ Livonia, MI

ERG Environmental Services seeks quality CDL Drivers for our Livonia, MI location.  Personnel in this classification spend a significant portion of their time driving CDL vehicles, hauling waste and non-hazardous waste. Personnel in this position maintain a professional Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Primary work involves the collection of drummed waste material from industrial clients and transfer of that material to a permitted treatment, storage, or disposal facility. Other activities include reconnaissance at industrial facilities and collection of waste material in various modes of transportation including tractor-trailer, box van, tanker, vacuum, and roll-off vehicles. Drivers need to work well in a team atmosphere. ERG is a customer service driven company.  Drivers often engage with customers and manage paperwork associated with the task. They will also engage in lifting and moving of heavy objects (drums and hoses), generally with mechanical advantage.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • HAZMAT transportation experience

  • Possess CDL License w/ Hazardous Waste and Tank Endorsements

  • Able to travel—-Home at Night: 85%, Work:  Monday – Saturday

  • Strong mechanical ability

  • Able to make real-time decisions in the field

  • Able to work with little to no direct supervision & an aptitude to complete assigned work

o Clean Driving record, include:
o No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
o No DUI/DWI in past 3 years
o No preventable accidents in the past year
o No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
o No serious moving violations in past 3 years, i.e., Reckless driving, Driving to endanger, Open alcohol containers, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to travel 100% of the time /Home at Night 85%, Monday – Saturday
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the ground to your shoulder
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 10 feet high
• Must have good balance
• Ability to pull open a truck hood
• Ability to climb under a truck for inspection
• Ability to reach over your head

The Transportation Manager manages driver routing assignments and is responsible to ensure that our drivers meet the needs of the customers while complying with all DOT regulations as well as all other applicable regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and dispatches drivers in dedicated fleet.
  • Provides supervision, training, and leadership to drivers to ensure good customer service.
  • Trains and counsels’ drivers on late pickups/deliveries, safety, hours of service requirements, issues, and overall company policies.
  • Ensure that all vehicle Inspections are to be done on all regular schedule
  • Proactively communicate with customers and build the relationships.,
  • Prevent and resolve issues before they become a problem in order to maintain the customer.
  • Make sure that our Drivers are in uniform, the vehicles are clean, and that both present a professional image and attitude.
  • In an emergency or accident take the lead and follow the protocol.
  • Complete and/or check the daily, weekly and monthly paperwork. (I.e. driver logs, trip logs, work orders, pre/post trips, etc.)
  • Able to solve problems, resolve differences, and prioritize

Essential Functions:

Monitor effectiveness of productivity

Minimum Requirements 

Education: Bachelor’s degree, or combination of training, certifications, and experience – preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ environmental experience in a leadership role

ERG seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator.  The operator should have five + years hands-on experience with excavators, front-end loaders, and dozers.  Experience with environmental remediation,  soil excavation, underground storage tank removals, groundwater infiltration management and site supervision is required.

 

Candidates should be able to operate excavators, front-end loaders, and various other large-scale equipment in our Remediation & Consulting Division.  In addition to the operation of equipment, the individual will be required to work various other tasks including field labor and maintenance.  Depending upon the individuals’ experience, ERG Environmental Services is looking for an operator who also has the ability to be a Crew Leader and Site Supervisor.

CDL A License

A clean/valid chauffeur’s driver’s license is required with a CDL A license preferred.

The starting pay rate is $20.00/hour plus benefits.  Starting rates are higher for experienced qualified Site Supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • HAZMAT transportation experience

  • Possess CDL License w/ Hazardous Waste and Tank Endorsements

  • Able to travel—-Home at Night: 85%, Work:  Monday – Saturday

  • Strong mechanical ability

  • Able to make real-time decisions in the field

  • Able to work with little to no direct supervision & an aptitude to complete assigned work

o Clean Driving record, include:
o No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
o No DUI/DWI in past 3 years
o No preventable accidents in the past year
o No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
o No serious moving violations in past 3 years, i.e., Reckless driving, Driving to endanger, Open alcohol containers, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to travel 100% of the time /Home at Night 85%, Monday – Saturday
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the ground to your shoulder
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 10 feet high
• Must have good balance
• Ability to pull open a truck hood
• Ability to climb under a truck for inspection
• Ability to reach over your head
